Year back rule in IPU
The year back is given to a student if a student is failed to score 50% of
the credits of the current year. 90% of the credits of the first year should be
cleared if the student has to be promoted from second year to third year. If
90% of the credits of the first year are not cleared then student does not get
promoted from second year to third year, instead he gets a year back in second
year.
Year back students have to invest an extra year for clearing the B.Tech degree.
